Ashford House is a bright, colourful and stimulating purpose-built care home in Surrey. Following significant investment, our home has a bright new reception area, a beautiful dining room and 54 tastefully decorated bedrooms. We’re proud to have performed strongly in the Your Care Rating survey, achieving an overall performance rating score of 904, out of 1,000.
We celebrate individuality and make sure our person-centred care gives our residents choice and independence. As part of that, we offer a wide range of activities, including life boxes (reminiscence aids and reminders of life history), sessions with daily newspapers, puzzles, cooking and baking, music and dancing. We also have regular visits from ‘Pets as Therapy’ dogs, and we encourage our residents to spend time in our garden and summer house. Meanwhile, our skilled team of chefs create dishes that are both delicious and nutritious.

We provide 24-hour nursing care as well as specialist care for people living with dementia.
We’re proud to be one of the first homes to be accredited as part of Barchester’s 10-60-06 Dementia Care programme. Developed by our Director of Dementia Care, this training and accreditation programme enhances our care environment and the interactions between our staff, residents, their relatives and health professionals.
We have a dedicated Memory Lane Community providing specialist resources for people living with dementia. This includes colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design to help with reminiscence.
