The Barchester Care Awards celebrate excellence in the quality of care we provide and recognise the people who make a real difference to our residents and patients. A wide range of categories means the whole team has a chance to shine and be recognised for doing a fantastic job.

Employee of the Month is a chance for you, your colleagues, your residents or patients, and their relatives to show their appreciation for the team members who go that extra mile.

The Long Service Awards are a way for us to say ‘thank you’ and gift our long-serving colleagues for their hard work, loyalty and dedication.

What better way to build a great team than by encouraging your friends to join us? If you introduce a friend to Barchester who fills a contracted vacancy, you can receive up to £500*.

Giving exceptional care to residents and patients is our top priority. External regulators measure how well we do this through regular inspections and ratings. The Rewarding Excellence scheme is our way of saying ‘thank you’ for your hard work when your care home or hospital achieves a Good or Outstanding rating (or equivalent).

Our Profit Share Scheme is a fantastic opportunity for General Managers, Hospital Directors and Deputy Managers to share in the commercial success of their care home or hospital. In these roles, you are automatically eligible for the scheme and where profit targets are exceeded, you get a share of the profit. The higher your care home or hospital’s quality score (based on regulatory ratings) the greater the amount to share.
