Situated in a quiet suburb in Billingham, Briardene is a complex care home with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We provide care and support for adults aged 50 and over living with dementia. We’re proud of spacious lounge and dining areas, activity rooms and 16 comfortable bedrooms. Our excellent facilities have been specifically designed using the latest innovations in dementia care research to enable our team to deliver quality, person-centred care.
Whether they’re in maintenance, hospitality, management, care or support, our teams are dedicated to helping our residents get the most out of life. Our residents have unique tailored care packages aimed at easing their anxieties whilst promoting positive, enriching lifestyles. To help us do that, we have a specialist therapy team which consists of a Therapy Co-ordinator, Holistic Therapist and Music Therapist.
From our Clinical Lead and Registered Mental Health Nurse through to our Head Chef and Head of Housekeeping, we all help to create a warm and welcoming environment for our residents. What we do requires a diverse range of roles, but our supportive culture brings us together to help our residents. We provide care and support for individuals aged over 50 who are experiencing extreme anxiety surrounding their dementia journey, which can manifest itself as intense periods of behavioural challenge.
We also treat and support individuals who can have numerous different mental health diagnoses, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, Korsakoff’s, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s, frontal lobe dementia, and vascular dementia.
