Find Your Next Job at Appletree Grange Care Home, Birtley
With 32 beds, Appletree Grange is a very friendly, cosy home that has been designed to ensure that everyone we care for feels fully supported in their lives. We don’t offer nursing at this home; instead the person-centred care and support we provide is delivered by trained professionals who take great pride in working to the highest standards.
The aim of all our staff is to respect our residents’ independence, dignity and choice. We have a varied programme of meaningful activities that we run both in the home and out in the community. Our Activities Coordinator spends time with each resident, learning about their life stories, their likes and dislikes, and creates group and individual activities to match. Similarly, our chefs enjoy creating nutritious menus to suit every taste and dietary need.
We’re very proud of our warm and welcoming environment, and every single member of the team plays a part in creating such a good atmosphere by spending time with our residents. We get excellent reviews from families and visitors, and you’d find it hard to walk down the corridor without seeing a smiling, friendly face. Our home is very much a part of the local community too – we have regular visits from local schools and churches. All in all, this is a vibrant, happy home that offers you the chance to enjoy a truly rewarding career.
