Friston House is a modern, purpose-built care home near the historic city of Rochester. The home has lovely courtyard gardens, a homely feel and excellent facilities, including our own hair dressing salon and a dedicated activity room.
The person-centred care we provide is based on careful assessment and care planning. We also place a great deal of importance on activities – our Activity Coordinators spend time with our residents to find out about their favourite hobbies and pastimes. We provide all kinds of in-house entertainment, including a variety of live performances, visits from a Pets As Therapy dog and lots of quizzes and bingo sessions.
Our success is down to every member of the team, whether it’s our housekeeping and maintenance staff helping residents to personalise their rooms, our chefs catering for every taste and dietary need, or the nurses and carers who ensure that each individual feels fully supported in all aspects of their lives. Friston House is split into three units and offers services to people who require nursing and personal care, people living with working age dementia and people living with dementia, who are supported in a dedicated Memory Lane Community. Our community includes colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design to help with reminiscence.
We have 24-hour nursing cover and strong links with local NHS services. We also offer respite care and short breaks.
