Leonard Lodge is a 60-bed care home in Brentwood that has recently been completely refurbished and redesigned with the people we care for in mind. Our bright new reception area provides the perfect spot for socialising and activities, and we also have a brand new dining room and refurbished bedrooms. It’s a warm, welcoming environment, and the perfect place to provide the very best in person-centered care.
Our dedication can be seen in all we do including cooking, housekeeping, nursing and organising activities for all our residents and visitors. We offer a whole range of facilities, from landscaped gardens to a cafe/bar plus a wide range of services, from physiotherapy to pampering sessions in our hair salon and nail bar. Our activities are as varied as our residents with Friday morning Bingo, exercise sessions, skittles and arts and crafts sessions all proving popular.
The team here is made up of managers, nurses, carers and a number of people in support roles in areas like administration and maintenance. All of us take the same pride in making the home somewhere residents and their families enjoy spending time. What’s more, all of our staff have access to the training and development they need to make the most of their skills and open up new opportunities for their Barchester careers.

We provide 24-hour a day nursing care, as well as specialist dementia care in our Memory Lane Community, which is based on the ground floor of the home. In addition to offering long-term residential care, we also offer respite and short break services. We can deliver specialist care too, to those living with Parkinson’s disease, the after-effects of stroke, physical disabilities, and early onset dementia.
We’re very proud of the specialist resources for dementia care in our Memory Lane Community. They include colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design and memory boxes to help with reminiscence. Features such as adapted crockery and tableware, access to sensory gardens with low-risk walkways and activity kitchens also enable people to engage in life’s everyday simple tasks and pleasures.
