Newington Court is a bright and modern care home with a warm atmosphere. Following significant investment, we have a bright new reception area, a beautiful dining room and 50 tastefully decorated bedrooms. We also have an exclusive 8-bed dementia care facility called Falcon Place, which is situated next to the care home.
Each member of our team plays a vital role in the welfare of our residents. We make careful assessments for each resident that contribute to personalised care plans. These assessments help us determine clinical approaches, individual diets and activities picked on the same basis – and all our teams are there to help personalise our residents’ experience with us.
Our maintenance team is always on hand to assist with personalising our residents’ rooms. Our Activities Coordinators find out our residents’ hobbies so they can incorporate them into our programme, which includes exercise, quizzes, singing and regular trips out. All the staff at Newington are dedicated to providing our residents with person-centred care, so their experience with us is happy and comfortable. We offer 24-hour nursing, residential and dementia care, as well as respite care and short breaks. Many of our residents are older people, but we also provide care for under-65s and services for spinal injuries, strokes, early onset dementia, mental health, multiple sclerosis, learning and physical disabilities and Parkinson’s.
We have a dedicated Memory Lane Community providing specialised resources for people living with dementia. This includes colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design to help with reminiscence.
Falcon Place is our residential unit for 8 residents in the early stages of dementia. We always provide individualised care based on personal requirements, enabling each resident to maintain as much independence as possible.
