Newlands Care Centre is in a central location of Workington, Newlands. We have the best of both worlds: there are plenty of local amenities, yet we’re in easy reach of the beautiful Lake District and the scenic Solway Coast.

Our modern 50-bed home has plenty of charm and character. Our purpose-built centre has landscaped gardens and modern facilities, including en-suite bedrooms, several lounges, an activity room and hairdressing salon. We also have the Lakelands Unit, which is our complex care unit. Our dedicated and highly-skilled team work together to offer person-centred care to each resident. We strive to achieve a ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere and each area of our home engages with this philosophy. This could be anything from a carer offering a resident home-made cake and a cup of tea, or a meal of choice provided by our kitchen staff, to our housekeeping staff decorating rooms to individual tastes. We have daily activities and entertainment arranged by our Activities Coordinator and lovely surroundings to be enjoyed, which are cared for by our maintenance team. As for our clinical care team, they carry out tailored care plans and spend meaningful one-to-one time with our residents.
