Set in beautiful grounds, Oaklands is a new addition to our Hilton Park Care Centre community, which consists of three homes: Hilton Park, Eden View and Oaklands. Our purpose-built facility offers a real community feel for people living with dementia and young people with physical challenges. We have well-maintained gardens, 54 comfortable bedrooms, a restaurant-style dining areas and lovely communal spaces.
Our dedicated team provides high quality care that ensures our residents remain in control of their lives. The care team supports each individual in making their own decisions and choices regarding daily life and social activity. Our activities team puts together a programme for all tastes and abilities, so we have everything for someone – whether it’s animal therapy, music workshops or visits to garden centres and art galleries.
Every member of the Oaklands team, from the care and kitchen staff to laundry and maintenance, plays a part in making a new resident feel welcomed. The one thing that will strike you when you walk into our home is the sense of community – we’ve given all units street names and each bedroom door has its own letter box and door knocker. We offer 24-hour nursing and dementia care, as well as respite care and short breaks. Many of our residents are older people, but we also provide services for under-65s with physical disabilities.
We have three units within the home; one is for younger people with disabilities, and the other two are dedicated Memory Lane Communities with specialist resources for our residents living with dementia. This includes colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design to help with reminiscence.
