We’re proud of our whole team approach in getting it right for residents and families. Everyone plays an important part in helping residents to settle and feel they are home from home, starting from the first point of contact by phone or visiting. Our kitchen staff prepare a varied menu of delicious food and our activities team organises everything from tea parties in the vintage café to baking, board games and canal trips. The maintenance and gardening team helps keep our home and landscaped gardens a wonderful place where residents can live, relax and make friends.
As for our nurses, carers, managers and people in support teams, they’re all committed to helping the home run smoothly, drawing up personalised care plans or overseeing the quality of care. We offer 24-hour residential and dementia care, as well as respite care and short breaks. For those who wish to live independently, we have four bungalows with the assurance of on-site facilities available.
We are proud to be one of the first homes to be accredited as part of Barchester’s 10-60-06 Dementia Care programme. We also have a dedicated Memory Lane Community providing specialised resources for people living with dementia. This includes colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design to help with reminiscence. We also run regular music therapy sessions.
