Head Chef
In this role, you will meet with residents, patients and their loved ones to create bespoke, tailored menus and food choices to meet both their needs and their likes. It is your job to lead the hospitality team in a home or hospital and ensure each member is delivering a first-class service. You will have the opportunity to join the Barchester Chef Academy to enhance your skills and becoming a Peripatetic Chef to support across the entire division is also possible.

2nd Chef
Our 2nd Chefs are trained on all Barchester policies, procedures and standards. In this role you will oversee hospitality service, food safety, budgeting, stock ordering, food preparation, cooking and food presentation. A rounded and pivotal role within our hospitality teams.

Kitchen Assistant
You will assist the Chef on duty. General hygiene duties will be a key part of your role to ensure our function complies with Environmental Health. You will maintain Barchester standards, policies and procedures at all times. During your 3 month induction plan, you will be trained on other general duties including sandwich prep, vegetable prep and food presentation. Progression opportunities are available if you wish to develop your skills.

Fully trained by the Divisional Hospitality Team, you will deliver an excellent hospitality service to residents and patients. This includes the presentation of our café bars,  home events through Life Enrichment, delivery of room service and dining service. You will be offered the opportunity to progress and learn new skills.
