Forest Hill

Based in the East Midlands, Forest Hill is a real home from home. It has 53 beds and a warm, friendly atmosphere. Our gardens are spacious with plenty of outside seating, a sensory area and vegetable plot. Inside the home, we have a conservatory, hair dressing salon and activity room.

Activities are a big focus here at Forest Hill and we make sure our programme is tailored to the individual needs and preferences of residents. Within the home, this includes everything from musical entertainment, crafts and flower arranging through to baking and gardening. We also have regular trips out in our minibus – we recently fulfilled one lady’s long-held dream of visiting the Chelsea Flower Show. We created a Terrace Cafe area recently too. This is a place where visiting families can take their loved one for tea and biscuits, and spend valuable time with them.

Our person-centred approach to care saw us achieve an ‘Outstanding’ rating in our latest inspection. It means when you join Forest Hill, you can be confident that you’ll be working alongside people who are every bit as dedicated as you are. We’ll also make sure you have the training and development you need to continuously build on your skills.

Why work at Forest Hill Care Home in Worksop?

Join us, and you can look forward to being part of a culture that is friendly, welcoming and always supportive.

Forest Hill was specifically designed to deliver first-class nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia. Our 32-bed Memory Lane Community is a prime example of dementia care at its very best. This provides specialist resources, including colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design to help with reminiscence.

Our brand new, purpose-built Portland Suite unit has 21 en-suite rooms and first opened its doors in May 2012. Here, we work towards supporting choice, change and independence for younger adults with mental health needs and associated challenges. Our aim is to offer a therapeutic environment where we can support each resident on their individual pathway to wellbeing. We also offer respite care and short breaks.
