Forest Independent Hospital is based just off the A6191, less than a mile outside Mansfield town centre with its good rail links and bus network. The bus journey from Mansfield town centre is just 10 minutes.
We are a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility providing treatment and care for individuals with a variety of neurological mental health conditions including Dementia, Acquired Brain Injury and Huntington’s disease. The Hospital has its own minibus for trips out and there is also a café on site, for patients, their families and friends to utilise and encourage informal contact between these groups, staff and also local community groups. Our neuropsychiatry specialist staff deliver individualised programs of care to adults with acquired or progressive neurological conditions, parallel to their co-morbid physical needs and mental health disorders in order to facilitate discharge to an appropriate and less restrictive environment.
