ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Activities Coordinator at this brand new Barchester care home, you’ll help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for our residents.

Opening in early 2019 in Edinburgh, Queens Manor Care Home has been specifically designed to provide quality residential care to older people and those living with dementia. Located in the north end of Edinburgh on Queensferry Road, Queens Manor will provide a warm, homely and friendly environment for 60 residents. Its dedicated Memory Lane community, which supports residents with dementia, will offer everything from a sensory garden through to activity kitchens. This is your opportunity to help make this first-class home a success from day one.

Our ethos is all about celebrating life, so you’ll help to devise imaginative, fun and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability. An extremely rewarding role, part of your time as an Activities Coordinator will be spent getting to know our residents and their families before you create tailored activities programmes focused on maximising everyone’s wellbeing, independence and social engagement.

ABOUT YOU
You’ll need to be warm, empathetic and personable to join us as an Activities Coordinator. Your organisational skills and driven mindset mean you always get things done and make things happen. Meanwhile, your infectious enthusiasm and creative approach will inspire our residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community. Any similar experience would be ideal, but it isn’t essential – especially because we’ll make sure you have the training you need to develop your skills and progress your career with us.

REWARDS PACKAGE
As well as a competitive salary, Barchester offers one of the best rewards packages in the care sector. Your generous benefits would include:
