Barchester is opening a Brand New Care Home in Falmouth, Cornwall.
Falmouth Court is a 65 Bedded Residential care home will be opening 2021 in Falmouth a town on the coast of Cornwall in southwest England.
As General Manager of this brand new Barchester care home, you’ll deliver the person-centred care that helps set us apart. Our brand new Care Home has been specifically designed to provide quality enhanced residential care to older people and those living with dementia.
Our new Care Home will provide a warm, homely and friendly environment for 65 residents. Its dedicated Memory Lane community, which supports residents with dementia, will offer everything from a sensory garden through to Life Skills Kitchens. This is your opportunity to make this first-class home a success from day one.
Pre-opening, you can expect to recruit the right team, agree budgets, set out marketing strategies, and prepare for operational readiness. You’ll have full clinical and commercial control of the home once it opens. We’ll look to you to maximise the home’s occupancy and motivate your team to deliver the quality care and support our residents and their families deserve. As a new build General Manager, you’ll receive excellent divisional and marketing support as well as plenty of development opportunities, all within an engaging and fulfilling environment.
Post-opening, you will gain full financial control of the business and continue to develop a coherent and effective team who provide the quality care our residents deserve. Reporting into the Regional Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance in the home as well as maintaining occupancy levels.

With both clinical and commercial autonomy, you’ll make sure everyone in your team is motivated to deliver the quality care and support our residents deserve. As a General Manager at Barchester, you’ll receive excellent divisional support alongside plenty of opportunities for continual professional development, all within an engaging and fulfilling environment.
To join us as a General Manager, you’ll need to be a Registered Manager (RM), or be willing to work towards RM status with our support. This senior role calls for a blend of compassion, resilience and exceptional management skills. You should have a forward-thinking approach and the confidence to communicate with and inspire colleagues at all levels. Meanwhile, your proven track record in running a commercially successful, Good or Outstanding rated care home will be complemented by your commitment to deliver first-class care.
