ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Dementia Care Specialist in the North Division at Barchester, you’ll review and support the clinical performance of every home in your region to ensure they meet all aspects of the clinical care and quality organisational agenda. We’ll look to you to support the Memory Lane communities within our North Division and at any of our care home and hospitals that require specialist dementia care or intervention. Whether you’re supporting the management and recruitment of senior clinical staff, offering advice and encouragement to develop dementia care projects or delivering training opportunities for staff, you’ll be making a real difference to the residents and patients in our care – and be truly valued and respected for what you do.

ABOUT YOU
To join us as a Dementia Care Specialist, you will need extensive knowledge of working with people living with dementia and demonstrate a commitment to support our staff. Flexible, adaptable and able to organise you own diary, you will share knowledge, build relationships, and deliver on your action plans. You must also be willing and confident to train staff both in a ‘classroom’ setting and also work alongside staff on the floor to help role model best practice.

As you’ll work across different care homes and hospitals homes within your region you’ll need a flexible approach to working and must be prepared for travel and occasional overnight stays.
