National, N/A, UK, National
With over 25 years’ experience and more than 240 care homes and six independent hospitals, Barchester is one of the UK’s foremost care providers. We currently hold the best quality ratings of any large care home provider in the UK, but we’re not stopping there: our mission is to provide the best possible person-centred care to elderly and vulnerable people, so we’re growing and improving our services.
We have an exciting opportunity for a driven, confident and capable individual to join us in our Regulation and Quality Improvement Team.
As the Deputy Director of Regulation and Quality Improvement at Barchester, you will have a variety of responsibilities that ensure the delivery of a schedule of robust Quality Improvement Reviews (QIR) across 4 regulatory jurisdictions, with the aim of supporting all services to drive and maintain high standards and ultimately achieve a Good or Outstanding rating. This will include the leadership and management of a large team of divisionally and regionally aligned Quality Improvement and Regulation Managers (QIRM), who conduct the Quality Improvement Reviews in our services across the UK to provide corporate assurance. This is also a strategic role, supporting the Director of Regulation and Quality Improvement to continually improve the quality of care services provided across Barchester’s portfolio. You will co-ordinate, escalate, and report between the team and the Director, lead on the relationship with Operations, and deputise for the Director where required.
This role involves some nation-wide travel, so access to good road and rail links would be an advantage, and some overnight stays.
