ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for partnering with the business and playing a role with business leaders and managers to build their people capability and deliver an excellent HR business partnering service across the organisation.
This role requires an in-depth understanding of the business to enable you to work closely with internal stakeholders to develop the people agenda that aligns to, and supports, the overall strategic business objectives.
Your role will involve working closely with General Managers and Regional Directors to support them across all aspects of employee relations and engagement. With operational excellence front of mind, you’ll provide support in person, over the phone, via email, and through coaching, training and mediation.
One of your key focuses as an HR Business Partner at Barchester will be providing your regions with employee absence and turnover analysis, before developing, agreeing and monitoring action plans. We’ll need you to support the management of high-risk cases – that could include disciplinaries and appeals, and any litigation matters. Your remit will also include delivering inductions for senior managers and directors in your region, HR-related training and Employee Services briefings and presentations. Across everything you do, you’ll look to develop and maintain excellent working relationships so that you can develop seamless processes and the most robust solutions. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in project work.
We’re looking for an HR Business Partner with solid experience in a similar role. If you have a relevant professional qualification, this would be ideal – we’d certainly like to see a good knowledge of current employment legislation. You’ll be someone who enjoys tackling a variety of projects and you’ll be adept at writing reports, organising records and giving presentations. You will be confident in leading complex HR issues (disciplinary cases, grievances, long term absences) and naturally have high expectations about your standards of work of and those of your colleagues. A great communicator, collaborator and problem solver, you’re always committed to delivering the highest standards in everything you do. Travel is likely to be required, so flexibility is also important.
You will be a proven HR Business Partner who can handle pressure and challenging environments. We are looking for evidence to demonstrate your resilience, initiative and open mindset.
As well as a competitive salary, we can offer you impressive benefits which would include: a bonus, contribution pension scheme, and free training and development. You’ll also have plenty of opportunity to grow your career in a large organisation with a warm and supportive environment.
