ABOUT THE ROLE
As an IT Support Manager at Barchester, you’ll play a pivotal role in the smooth running of our IT support service. We’ll look to you to manage the IT Help Desk service by allocating, prioritising and escalating tasks where necessary – in fact, you’ll be the first point of escalation for any IT faults.

Your team of IT Support Officers and IT Applications Support Analysts will look to you to set best practice, so you’ll lead on producing documentation, technical standards and policies and procedures for the service. We’ll also need your expertise to oversee our IT Service Management Software and help with inventory maintenance.

Our management team will rely on you to analyse the service and collate performance reports that pinpoint where we can make changes. Join us as an IT Support Manager, and you’ll have the scope to transform our service and make a direct impact on our organisation as a whole.

ABOUT YOU
To join Barchester as an IT Support Manager you’ll need to have an unwavering focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness. You’ll have an excellent knowledge of PCs, Microsoft desktop products and TCP/IP networking concepts and it would also be beneficial if you had a good understanding of the following:

• Microsoft Windows Server
• Exchange Server
• SQL Server
• Cherwell service management system

A confident leader with impressive people skills, you’ll have previous experience of managing your own service desk and team. We’ll look for you to demonstrate that you’re a practical multi-tasker with the ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
