Maintenance Person - Hospital

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Maintenance Person at a Barchester independent mental health hospital, you’ll create a safe and welcoming environment that enables us to deliver quality patient care and support. It’s all about making sure we have a fully operative hospital where patients feel at home and staff can do their jobs well.

You can expect plenty of variety as a Maintenance Person with us. You’ll turn your hand to all sorts of tasks within the hospital building as well as in the gardens and grounds. That could mean fixing a leaky tap one minute and planting some new bulbs the next. You should be comfortable working alone and supporting the Hospital Director with annual budget planning. We’ll also need you to liaise with contractors on jobs that fall outside the expertise of the team.

ABOUT YOU
The wellbeing of our patients will be your number one priority as a Maintenance Person at Barchester – you’ll make sure all work is carried out with sensitivity to their needs. With hands-on experience of property maintenance, you’ll have at least one trade skill and, ideally, a proven ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks. You should be reliable and flexible when it comes to your working hours. This role also calls for a full UK driving licence, IT literacy and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
