Melbourn Springs - Brand New Care Home in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire
75 Bedded Residential Care Home, with a Memory Lane for our Dementia Residents.
We are looking for Senior Care Assistant with the Health & Social Qualification but needs those flexible hours to suit the personal circumstances.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Care Assistant at a brand new Barchester care home, you’ll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. Your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager. You can also expect to support the clinical team in a specific area, such as medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews. Like everyone here, as a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents as well playing your own part in creating an environment that’s warm, welcoming and vibrant.
You need to have:
NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
Specific knowledge of Risk Assessments, Care Planning, Management of Medication
DOLs & Safeguarding referrals
Mental health Capacity
Understanding of CQC requirements
Team Supervisions/Appraisals
Liaising with Professionals within the community
Dementia awareness and care for the elderly.
