The Specialist New Build Homes Trainer at Barchester is a field-based role being introduced to support the delivery of our new care homes across Central and Southern England. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that new Barchester homes are fully staffed with a workforce who not only meet all mandatory and statutory training requirements, but also deliver outstanding service and are enabled and motivated to work as a cohesive team from day one.

Working with Barchester’s Operations and Learning & Development teams you’ll identify requirements, deliver training, ensure records are maintained, and implement systems and processes to ensure each new home is ready to provide an outstanding standard of care from the outset.

This is a demanding, but incredibly rewarding role within the Barchester organisation as you will be a key member of the programme team, delivering services that have a lasting impact on the lives of our new staff and residents.

Due to the travel required to deliver training in our new care homes across our Central and South Divisions, it’s essential you have a full, clean driving licence. There will also be a significant number of overnight stays (which may be during weekends) and early mornings to ensure all staff are included in training.

To join us as a Specialist New Build Homes Trainer, you’ll have a minimum of:

• PTTLS (or equivalent)
• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or experience of working in the care sector) 
• Working knowledge of legislative requirements within the care industry
• Experience in teaching in Health and Social Care
