Care Assistant at The Spires Sponsors a Guide Dog called Ginger for the care home

The residents and team at The Spires care home in Lichfield are excited as one of their carers Jane Hawley sponsored a guide dog on behalf of The Spires.  Their dog is the very handsome Ginger.

The whole home are looking forward to seeing the updates and photograph’s throughout his training and life.  The Guide dogs charity will send regular updates which the residents and staff can all enjoy following the journey of their guide dog Ginger and all his experiences.

Jane Hawley, the carer who organised and sponsored Ginger on behalf of the home said “this was something I really wanted to do, Guide dogs offer an incredible lifeline and companionship to their owners.  I sponsored Ginger for everyone at The Spires so that we can all share in the happy stories and see his progress.  I know this will bring lots of happiness and joy to my colleagues and our lovely residents.”

Amy Doyle, General Manager at the home said “we are so happy we can support Guide Dogs charity.  Everyone will enjoy our updates on Ginger, especially as we have not been able to have our usual PAT therapy dog visits in the home due to the pandemic.”
