Our dedicated and experienced team are passionate about making sure residents live their lives as fully and as enjoyably as possible. Our Activities Coordinator organises fun activities that mentally and physically stimulate our residents wellbeing – and there’s something different going on every day. We often go out on day trips in our minibus, which include visits to local schools, pubs, coffee mornings with other homes, as well as a wide range of entertainers and home activities.
It’s our team that makes our home a wonderful place to live and work. From maintenance to the General Manager, each person strives to empower residents and to help them maintain their independence, choice and freedom, especially when faced with the challenges of dementia. We offer 24-hour dementia care, as well as respite care and short breaks. Many of our residents are older people, but we also provide services for the under-65s, including those with young onset dementia.
We’re proud to be one of the first homes to be accredited as part of Barchester’s 10-60-06 Dementia Care programme. We have a dedicated Memory Lane Community providing specialised resources for people living with dementia. This includes colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design to help with reminiscence.
