Across our six lounges, seven gardens and en-suite bedrooms, we work to create an environment that both stimulates and relaxes our residents. This is a wonderful place complete with the facilities you need to deliver the person-centred care our residents deserve.
Our team’s mission is to help our residents get the most out of life – and that starts as soon as you arrive at Vecta House. Our activities team gets to know what our residents are interested in, whether it’s gardening, singing, dancing, or just having a cup of tea in our gardens that are open from dawn to dusk. As for outings, we visit a range of local places, including Ventnor Botanic Gardens or Brading Downs.
Of course, it’s the dedication of our teams of nurses, carers, chefs, housekeepers and all other support departments that make this possible. What we do requires a diverse range of roles, but our warm and supportive culture brings us together to help our residents. We offer 24-hour dementia care, as well as respite care and short breaks. Many of our residents are older people, but we also provide services for under-65s, including care for Parkinson’s, Huntington’s and early onset dementia.
We have a dedicated Memory Lane Community providing specialised resources for people living with dementia. This includes colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design to help with reminiscence.
