Whichever area of our home they work in, all our team members are focused on delivering quality care, such as our activities teams who plan a lively social calendar, including cheese and wine evenings, gardening, baking, and regular outings. Our catering teams create delicious dishes that make every meal an enjoyable part of the day. Our maintenance and support roles keep our home shipshape and in order, and you’ll find our carers and nurses spending meaningful time with our residents and meeting their needs through tailored care plans.
As for our managers, they make sure all of this is able to run smoothly and efficiently, while always taking time to interact with residents and provide support to the team. We offer 24-hour nursing, residential and dementia care as well as respite care and short breaks. Many of our residents are older people, but we also provide services for under-65s with conditions including physical disabilities, spinal injuries and Parkinson’s.
We’re proud to be one of the first homes to be accredited as part of Barchester’s 10-60-06 Dementia Care programme. We have a dedicated Memory Lane Community providing specialised resources for people living with dementia. This includes colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design to help with reminiscence. We also run regular music therapy sessions.
