We have spacious bedrooms, a purpose-built hair salon, a beautiful garden and a range of communal and dining facilities for our chefs to serve their delicious, nutritious food in. All our team are dedicated to making sure our existing and new residents feel settled – everyone plays an important part. Our carers and nurses get to know residents and meet their individual needs with tailored care plans. Residents’ rooms are given a homely touch and decorated to their preference by our maintenance team. An engaging programme is designed by our activities team because we believe that a fun and active life is key to our residents’ wellbeing. This could be anything from gardening and baking to exercise and outings – anything to help them lead fulfilling lives.
As for our managers and people in support teams, they’re all committed to helping the home run smoothly, whether that’s by keeping it clean and tidy or overseeing the quality of care. We offer 24-hour residential and dementia care as well as day care support. We’re proud to be one of the first homes to be accredited as part of Barchester’s 10-60-06 Dementia Care programme. We have a dedicated Memory Lane Community providing specialised resources for people living with dementia. This includes colour and cues to help residents navigate through the home as well as thoughtful interior design to help with reminiscence. We also run regular music therapy sessions.
